I just had the pleasure of working with a photographer I haven’t gotten to work with in a while, Zaire Kacz.. So I was very happy to hear that she chose me to work with her on this beautiful and colorful shoot for summer. And of Coarse a big thank you to Jess of Verve Magazine for giving us all the chance. 😀 Oh and also great job to our newest girl here at M@GA, Francesca, for the beautiful makeup on one our own Spencer (the hottie with the beach ball).

Here at Makeup we are swamped with bridal season and working it with our prom girls! But before all that got going I decided to team up with my girl Danielle Travers and Maya from Cherry Doll House, and Dan Wickham photography for just an all out fun shoot with our models Rikki and Trecy.

So last month I had a great pleasure of having the honor of doing Laura Ivey’s makeup. She has been a real blessing in this world and we are all lucky for it. She was Verve’s makeover of the month and decided that she was the cover story. Spring is in the air and photo shoots are popping up every where and I can NOT wait for them all!! I am currently trying to shoot my first tutorial video. eek! Yesterday we did a test shoot just to see how how things will run and look. For the video we shot with the face of makeup herself Jackie, our photographer Dan Wickham, and my girl  Danielle Travers of Westone Salon.  Jackie got a few snap shots with her iphone. So I thought I would share them cause I worked hard on that look and share also a few other looks from the past I have done with this group of peoples. 😀 HAPPY SPRING!!!

 

A product that I still get excited about when I put it on is SkinFood Topical Nourishment. The ingredients are wonderful, organic, and healing.  I love it for my lips, my hands, and my arms. The thing that sets this product apart from others in its field is that it is made here in Asheville, NC and the container is completely biodegradable! I had the pleasure of meeting one of the co-creators of this product, Kara Errickson, when she won Verve magazine’s business plan competition. The magazine also gave her the cover and they asked me and Danielle Travers to do hair and makeup. She is a wonderful woman, wife, mother, and has big dreams for the future of the cosmetic industry. I just wanted to share this with you guys and hope you go get some!
